5. Curriculum

Genesis Childcare developed a curriculum that provides a bilingual learning experience. We help the children develop the necessary skills and knowledge needed to help them successfully transit to Primary school with ease.
For English and Chinese, we are using a Thematic Learning Approach.
The children will be able to explore, learn and investigate ideas, they will also go for field trips to further extend and reinforce the knowledge and concepts acquired in class.
For Chinese, we are using the well-acclaimed Kong Zi Xue Yuan Chinese Teaching Program. This program comes with a full set of big books, lesson plans and teaching materials. These facilitate the teachers to deliver a fun and effective learning experience which will help the children master the Chinese language.
For Phonics, we are using the Letterland Program to help the children read, write and spell. Through the Letterland stories, the teacher will explain the letter shapes and sounds which promotes children to progress quickly to word building, reading and writing.
For Math and Science, we are using hands on activities and play. Activities sheets are designed to help the children practise the skills learned. We also conduct Music and Movement, Arts, Outdoor Play and cookery lessons where children will be exposed to different forms of learning.

8. Regular Updates
At Genesis Childcare, we use various means to actively communicate with parents.
For example, we use the app “ClassDojo” to send messages to individual parents, broadcast messages and also as a platform to post photos of the individual child.
It is also used to share more details about what the child did during his/her day at the Childcare Centre.
