10 Ways to avoid harming your baby – A Guide for First Time Parents

Parenting is a challenging task. In this article, I will be sharing 10 ways to avoid harming your baby.

Put toys in your baby’s bed.

Your baby might place his face on the toy during sleep. This could cause breathing issues.

Shake your baby too hard.

This could cause shaking baby syndrome.

Over clean or over sterilize your baby’s environment.

You want your baby to be safe and free from harm.

Germs are necessary to build your baby’s immune system.

Without built immunity, your baby might be more prone to asthma and skin rashes.

Force your baby to finish his food especially when he is not hungry.

This teaches your baby to overeat and give him a bad relationship with food.

Compare your baby to other baby.

This causes your baby to doubt himself and his self-esteem to plummet.

Do not interact or play with your baby enough.

Your baby needs you to interact and play with him in order to develop properly.

Use a phone or tablet to soothe your baby.

Affect your baby’s development and ability to socialize.

Reward your baby’s talent instead of effort.

This prevents your baby to put in effort.

Force your baby to share his stuffs with other babies.

Speak or act negatively in front of your baby.

Your baby will mimic you.

I hope all these pointers will help you to avoid harming your baby.
